i am so excited and nervous to meet my new kiddos tomorrow on the first day of school! our kids are so talented and unique. i pray that i can love them, understand them, and help them to become better people. here's the incoming class of 2026...

today begins the official end-of-summer mourning period. i know that gucci will miss me. here's a typical day in the life of the gucc...

i heart summer...

i don't have a lot to blog about, but that's how i want the lazy days of summer to be!

we've had some fun in the pool, forcing the puppies to swim. they are constantly paddling their feet, trying to escape the torture...

and we've grilled a lot of good food. i love summer.

and i only have to go to class two more times this summer! sweet!

we decided to run around the ship, getting as many "professional" pictures taken as possible. once they were developed, we took a picture of the pictures instead of buying them. people were lining up in their prom dresses to have these pictures taken, but it was a big joke to us. i was about to burst out laughing in most of these (cheesy) pictures...

chichen itza...

when we arrived in mexico, we took a guided tour to the chichen itza mayan ruins in the yucatan. the 1400-year old buildings are one of the seven wonders of the modern world...

and here's the warrior we brought back on the bus. its hand-carved from a piece of wood, and since tourists are scarce in mexico these days, we got a great deal! he's so adorable, protecting our house...
